As part of your intake, you will receive a form where you can provide your insurance details for a seamless experience!

Direct Billing FAQ

  • I currently offer direct billing services to Alberta Blue Cross, Benefit Plan Administration - BPA, Canada Life, Chambers of Commerce, CINUP, Claim Secure, Desjardins, Equitable, First Canadian, GMS, Green Shield, IA Financial, Johnston Group, Manulife, Maximum Benefit, Medavie Blue Cross, Medic Construction, Simply Benefits, Saskatchewan Blue Cross, SSQ. 

  • You can contact your insurance company directly to verify your coverage for dietitian services. Coverage may vary depending on your specific plan and policy.

    Questions to ask your insurance provider:​

    • Does my plan cover services from a registered dietitian?

    • What is the maximum amount reimbursed per year, and when does the coverage year reset?

    • Does the plan cover 100% of each session up to the yearly maximum, or is there a per-session maximum?

  • No problem! I’ll provide you with a payment receipt that you can submit to your provider for reimbursement.

  • The following insurance companies do not allow direct billing for dietitian services: Empire Life, Group Health, Group Source, Manion, Pacific Blue Cross, and Sunlife. For these insurance providers you will be provided with a payment receipt to submit for reimbursement.

  • Once you've decided to work together, I will email you an intake form. In this form, you can provide your insurance information for direct billing. I require a credit card/visa debit on file at the time booking to reserve your appointment. After your appointment, I'll process your payment with your insurance provider. If there's any remaining balance, I'll charge the card on file for your convenience. I will email you the payment receipt! 

  • If there is any amount not covered by your insurance, we will charge the card on file for the outstanding balance.

  • No, billing can only occur after the consultation has taken place.
